Dr. Schrader's Bio

Dr. Schrader graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. Her love for animals and desire to help them in any way possible led her to pursue veterinary medicine from a young age. She appreciates the variety that veterinary medicine provides and enjoys providing care for both large and small animals, including poultry. Dr. Schrader has an interest in preventative medicine and surgery, as well as providing urgent care for her patients. She strives to provide a comfortable environment for pets and their owners. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, as well as painting and making Native American jewelry. Dr. Schrader has 2 dogs, 3 horses, several cats and goats. In her free-time she also enjoys cheering on the Chiefs and K-State football with her husband.

Dr. Byrd's Bio

Dr. Traniesh Byrd, a Salina native, joined Salina Veterinary Hospital in 2025 after earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she also completed a Shelter Medicine Veterinary Medicine Certificate.

Her professional interests include small animal surgery and community outreach, and she’s passionate about making veterinary care accessible and compassionate for every family. Dr. Byrd is dedicated to creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where pets and their owners feel valued and supported.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Byrd enjoys spending time with her son, daughters, and dog, as well as volunteering and engaging in local community activities.

Dr. Deneke

Veterinarian

Dr. Deneke's Bio
Dr. Amy Deneke is excited to be back at Salina Veterinary Hospital to start the new year. She graduated from Kansas State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018 and has been caring for a wide variety of animals across central Kansas ever since.

Dr. Deneke enjoys surgery, dentistry, and providing compassionate end-of-life care for senior pets, and she also has experience working with livestock. She loves getting to know both pets and their people and looks forward to reconnecting with familiar faces and meeting new clients at Salina Veterinary Hospital.

Angela's Bio
After over 15 years in hospitality, Angela sought a career change and transitioned to veterinary medicine. She was drawn to the personal nature of the services provided to clients. Angela finds the clinic’s diverse range of services, including boarding, grooming, preventative medicine, and emergency care, fascinating. She supports the Kansas Jayhawks as her favorite sports team. In her free time, she enjoys attending concerts and sporting events, traveling, swimming, and, above all, participating in her niece and nephew’s activities.

Maizee's Bio

Maizee has worked in veterinary medicine for 10 months, driven by her passion for animals and her desire to help them. She especially enjoys assisting in surgeries. She shares her life with 4 silver labs and 1 cat. A devoted fan of the Kansas Jayhawks, she spends her free time at the lake with her family.
